Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 8 chicken thighs or drumsticks (skin on for best flavour)
- 3 tbsp Banhoek Lemon & Herb Chilli Oil
- 1 tbsp BBQ Blondie Zesty Hot Smoked Spice
- 2 tsp Black Mamba Chilli Crunch
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Sea salt & black pepper
Method
- Marinate the Chicken – In a bowl, mix Banhoek Lemon & Herb Chilli Oil, lemon juice, BBQ Blondie Zesty Hot Smoked Spice, salt, and pepper. Rub generously over the chicken pieces. Let marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight if you can).
- Get the Fire Ready – Light your braai and prepare for medium heat cooking.
- Grill the Chicken – Place the chicken skin-side down first, cooking until golden and crispy. Turn occasionally, basting with leftover marinade, for about 20–25 minutes until cooked through.
- Add the Crunch – Just before serving, spoon Black Mamba Chilli Crunch over the hot chicken for an extra kick of heat, texture, and flavour.
- Serve with Sides – Perfect alongside grilled veggies, fresh salads, or smoky potato wedges.
Result: Zesty, herby, smoky chicken with a fiery crunch that transforms every bite into a flavour explosion.
